BMO Darhal attached

JAMMU, Dec 15: Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Madhu Khullar has attached Block Medical Officer, Darhal Dr Mehmood Bajar after a Medical team raided his private clinic at Rajouri and sealed it for illegal functioning.
The action was taken by the Directotate, following instructions from the Minister for Health after a Medical team led by Dy Director Health Services Jammu Dr Baldev Sharma inspected several private clinics in district Rajouri and sealed three of them observing their illegal functioning on December 13. Assistant Commissioner Rajouri also accompanied the team.
The team also seized two ultrasound machines. The team in its report submitted found that one of the clinics belonged to Dr Mehmood Bazar and his wife was mainly running it. During the raid the BMO was contacted by the team and he was asked to reach his private clinic and cooperate the raiding team but his behaviour remained totally un-cooperative. After receiving report, the Director Health Services Jammu attached the BMO Darhal to her office pending inquiry against him.  She also framed another committee led by Dr B S Sharma ( Dy Dir) and comprising members- Dr V P Sharma STO DHS Jammu and Dr Vijay Sahni, CMO Poonch to inquire into the matter and submit its report for further action.
It is pertinent to mention here that team  during the surprise raids sealed three private clinics including M/S Showkat Mehmood Health Care Ultra-sound center near old district hospital Rajouri, M/S Rifat Ara MCH  Ultra-sound Centre, Kheora and M/S SS Medicos Kheora near new district hospital Rajouri. The second  clinics was being run by the wife of  BMO, Dr Mehmood.
