MENDHAR, Sept 14: To avoid the threat of epidemic following flash floods and heavy rains, the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Mendhar, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan under the supervision of CMO Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Bhatti, is conducting medical camps at different villages of the block.
Today, the medical camps were held today at Balakote, Sangoite, Nakamanjhari, Mendhar, Harni and adjoining villages by mobile medical teams.
During the camps, the doctors did medical examination of the inhabitants and provided information, education and communication regarding vector borne diseases and water borne diseases.
Chlorine tablets and ORS packets were are distributed among the villagers by the medical teams.
Dr Parvaiz informed that to extend medical help to more villages, a team of doctors of SDH Mendhar is arriving tomorrow to hold medical camps at remaining villages of the block in which Press Council of Mendhar, Poonch is also extending help.
