BMO stops salary of 17 employees

RAJOURI, Oct 27: Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera, Dr Iqbal Malik in different orders issued on Thursday sought explanations from 17 employees of three Health Centers for remaining absent unauthorisedly from their legitimate duties.
Acting tough against the erring employees, BMO also ordered to keep their salaries withheld for the month of October and also directed to deduct two & half days’ salaries of all the employees, to deposit the amount in the government treasury, and proper entry into their service books.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government provides two & half days salary to non-gazetted staff of the Health & Medical Education Department who perform additional duties on Sundays and holidays.
On Friday afternoon BMO, Dr. Iqbal Malik paid surprise visits to Primary Health Center (PHC) 24X7 at Lamberi and found five employees unauthorisedly absent while at Hanjana, he found the Sub-Center (Health Wellness Center) locked.
BMO directed all the absentee employees to explain their positions as to why disciplinary action shall not be taken against them under Employees (classification, Control, and Appeal Rules) & furnish your replies of explanation to this office within 2 days positively.
Meanwhile, the salary for the month of October 2023 shall be kept withheld and two and half days salary shall be deducted and deposited in the Government Treasury and making proper entry in the service book.
