BMS celebrates Foundation Day

JAMMU, July 23: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) celebrated its 59th Foundation Day as demands day all over the State.
All the affiliated units including industrial workers, public sector employees, local bodies, cooperative sector, Government employees, anganwadi workers and in organised sector held meetings at different places in all districts and blocks of the State and distributed sweets.
The speakers highlighted the principles of BMS. They demanded to call Labour Advisory Board and Contract Labour Advisory Board meetings to discuss the problems being faced by the workers.
They added that the Labour Department is not properly working and harming the interests of working class. They demanded employment card to the workers, proper implementation of the labour laws, wage slips to be given as per law and proper maintenance of their service records.
The speakers warned State as well as nation wide agitation to protect the rights of workers and poor masses of the country.
The meetings were addressed by different labour leaders including senior BMS leaders Lakshman Ravinder Singh, Karnail Chand, president, Vijay Chandel, working president, Bhushan Sharma, general secretary, Harbans Choudhary, Deputy secretary, Ashok Choudhary, secretary, Shyam Sundher Sharma, Om Parkash, Kartar Chand, Rakesh Kumar Sain, Ishfaq Ahmed Chauhan, Chaman Lal Raina and Dev Parkash.
