JAMMU, Jan 2: On the eve of 50 years journey of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) J&K and contribution of veteran trade union leader, Lakshman Ravinder Singh, who started BMS work in J&K in 1975, BMS J&K here organised a programme.
Neelam Sharma, general secretary BMS delivered the welcomed address.
MLA, Sham Lal Sharma was chief guest and Rahul Sahai, Chairman Indian Chamber of Commerce Jammu presided over the function and launched cover page of Shram Smarika.
While addressing the gathering the chief guest said that anyone who served the cause of society in selfless manner must be given recognition and this also inspires others.
Rahul Sahai paid tribute to visionary Lakshman Ravinder Singh and emphasized the critical role of labour in the economic development of the nation.
Pawan Kumar, Zonal secretary BMS said now BMS is not only a Trade Union but is also working for other social issues like environmental/climate changes, social harmony, Swadeshi and is representing India.
Parshotam Dadichi, Ajay Gandotra, Pushpinder Charak, Harbans Choudhary, Mukesh Kumar, Ashok Choudhary, N.K Gupta, Karnail Chand and Subash Chander, ex-presidents of State BMS, Rakesh Thakur, Naseeb Singh, Jewan Thakur, Ravi Hans, Ramesh Malhotra, Anil Kumar and others were also present in the programme.
