BMW launches updated M5 sedan in India

JAMMU, Nov 25: German luxury car maker BMW launched an updated version of its BMW M5 sedan in India, priced at Rs 1.35 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new BMW M5, which is available at dealerships across the country, comes as a completely built-up unit. “Power delivery, torque, driving dynamics: the new BMW M5 embodies pure athleticism,” BMW Group India president Philipp von Sahr said in a statement.
The new BMW M5 presents a new dimension of dynamics in trademark BMW M style. Fine-tuned design underscores the hallmark M expression and challenging presence of the new BMW M5, while the extended range of technology features emphasize its innovative character. The new BMW M5 is available in a petrol variant, the company said.
The new BMW M5 is available in Alpine White as non-metallic paintwork and in the following seven metallic paintworks: Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Monte Carlo Blue, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone, Singapore Grey and Space Grey. The standard Leather Merino upholstery is available with extended contents in Black, Sakhir Orange and Silverstone colour combinations.
Interior trims offered are Fine-wood Trim Ash Grain Brown and Fine-wood Trim Fineline Anthracite with highlight trim finishers Aluminium Trace.
The new BMW M5 is driven by the M Twin Power Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine. This is the most powerful of all the BMW production engines and is distinguished by its enormous performance, outstanding power delivery, running smoothness and free-revving character.
The further extended range of features from BMW Connected Drive also ensures that the new BMW M5 is in pole position in its sector when it comes to intelligent connectivity.
