Board meeting of Citizens Cooperative Bank held

JAMMU, June 27: Board meeting of Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited was held meeting under the chairmanship of Pardeep Gupta, Divisional Commissioner.
In the meeting, the members of the board apprised Divisional Commissioner about the latest position of the bank and the activities being undertaken.
Board of administration has decided to expedite the process of computerization under Core Banking Solution (CBS) to compete in the market with other banks and provide better services to the customers including online banking.
In the meeting, it was decided to make the two branches of the bank situated at RS Pura and Gangyal functional with modern state of art infrastructure by July. The bank has already finalized the software with TCS. Under OTS scheme bank has settled 151 loan cases of an aggregate settlement amounting Rs 304.25 lakh.
Board exhorted upon the borrowers/ members who are eligible under OTS scheme to take benefit of the same, which is operational upto June 30 and it was decided, that at no cost the OTS scheme shall be extended further.
Board decided to issue directions to the incharge of the branches of the Bank to approach the eligible defaulters to take benefit of the OTS scheme to settle their old and chronic debt as a last opportunity.
In loans and advances, loan proposals of different borrowers of an aggregate amount of Rs 35.25 lakh were also sanctioned.
The board members present were Yasir Arafat Zargar, District Audit Officer, Cooperative Societies, Chatter Singh, Retd General Manager, Central Cooperative Bank Limited and Managing Director, Ashok Goswamy.
