POONCH, May 5 : The dead body of a missing woman was recovered from Sawjian area of Mandi in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that a woman identified as Farida Begum (25), wife of Mehraj Din went to collect firewood towards river side at Nerian hemlet on Wednesday but didn’t return home. The family members launched search and after she could not be traced, they filed a missing report at Police Post Sawjain on Thursday morning.
Police and family members started search operation. Her dead body was later found lying near the river bank. After medical examination and completion of legal formalities, the police handed over the body to the family for performing last rites.
