JAMMU, Sept 12: Body of toddler, who got killed in accident near Marallian in Miran Sahib, has been recovered from canal today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Devanshi Choudhary (two and half years old), daughter of Kamaljeet, a resident of Rangoor Camp Ramgarh District Samba.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the toddler was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
It is pertinent to mention here that three persons including a couple were killed, while the toddler went missing in the deep water after a car plunged into canal near Marallian area of Miran Sahib here yesterday.
However, a case under relevant sections already stands registered at Miran Sahib Police Station in this regard.
