RAMBAN, Mar 14: Body of a washed away driver was recovered from river Chenab in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Dharamkund Police Station.
As per police sources, in the first week of February, a tractor trolley rolled down into river Chenab and in the incident, the driver’s body got washed away.
A case under relevant sections was registered at Ramban Police Station and search operation was launched to fish out the body of the driver.
Today, the body of the driver identified as Mudassir Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Bass Pogal Paristan Tehsil Ukhral was recovered from river Chenab in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Dharamkund Police Station.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased driver was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
