JAMMU, Feb 27: Police today recovered decomposed body of an unidentified male from river Chenab in tehsil Akhnoor.
Police spokesman said that, decomposed body of 40-year-old unidentified man was today recovered from river Chenab in village Gujral, Pargwal, tehsil Akhnoor.
He said that the passerby noticed the body lying on the banks of the river and informed the police.
On getting information, Police party rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), spokesman said, adding a case has been registered and efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the victim.
