REASI, Feb 20: The dead body of a middle- aged woman was recovered from the bank of river Chenab, a few kilometers from Kahiral village in Talwara area of Reasi this evening.
Some people noticed the body of woman lying at the river bank and informed police. Talwara police rushed to the site and shifted the body to the mortuary of District Hospital, Reasi.
The deceased was later identified as 45-year-old, Shenaz Begum, wife of Mohd Afzal, resident of Khairal village. The family members disclosed that after some tiff at home over a petty issue, she left at around 1 pm today and did not turn up. They were looking for her since then. The police registered a case and started investigation into the matter.
