Body recovered from Lidder river

SRINAGAR, Mar 16: Police recovered the body of a Nepali from the Lidder river at Pahalgam in Anantnag District.
A police spokesman said that Pahalgam Police recovered body of 45 years old lahanu Chowdary, son of Moti Ram Prassad resident of Tegrag-Dahang, Nepal from Lidder river near Toll Post, Pahalgam, Anantnag. He was working in Nathu’s Rasoi, Pahalgam and was reportedly absconding since March 14, 2013. The body of deceased is lying in Pahalgam hospital. Police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regard.
