Parimoo shared his views while promoting his upcoming film ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar,’ stating, “We have only been shooting at places like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. I think filmmakers should look beyond these places. There is a huge beauty in Kashmir which needs to be explored,” he added.”
He also expressed his satisfaction with the recent launch of the J&K Government’s film policy in Kashmir, while revealing that the initial plan was to shoot the film in Uttarakhand but upon learning about the J&K film policy, they decided to film it in the scenic Bhaderwah.
Highlighting the significance of shooting films in J&K, Parimoo said, “This film is special to me as it has been shot in J&K. There was a time when there was a lull in the film shootings, now more films are coming to Kashmir again. It will boost tourism and bring a lot of employment to the region. The government has also been making efforts and helping Bollywood to come back to the majestic valley to rekindle decades-old relations.”
Directed by Dhiraj Mishra and Raja Randeep Giri, ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar’ revolves around the story of Raj, a young man who embarks on a journey of self-discovery through music.
The film features an ensemble cast including Anita Raj, Zarina Wahab, Prashant Rai, Sarwar Mir, Vaani Dogra, Megha Joshi, Mahima Gupta, Sachin Bhandari, Ismile Choudhary, and Avinash Kumar.
Director Dhiraj Mishra expressed his excitement about shooting in J&K, saying, “In the past, I shot some portions of my two movies in the Bhaderwah region. We could not shoot in Kashmir then due to unrest and the absence of a film policy. However, now I am planning to shoot my next two movies in Kashmir, and a recce is currently underway.”
Mishra credited Lalit Parimoo for informing him about the J&K film policy and expressed gratitude towards the officials of the J&K Film Policy for their support and assistance.
Singer Kabul Bukhari, who worked on the film’s music, expressed his joy at being part of a Bollywood project shot in Jammu and Kashmir. During the event, the team also unveiled the poster of the film, adding to the excitement surrounding ‘Lafzon Mein Pyaar.’
