JAMMU, Sept 13: Health India Strong India (HISI) organised a special book donation camp at its Gandhi Nagar Office, here today.
The camp was organised under the supervision of Hira Lal Abrol, chairman of the HISI wherein free books, pens, notebooks, masks and sanitizers were presented to Jehangir Hussian Mir, former Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, former MLA and Chairman JKPCC Minority Department for onward distribution to needy children of his area in Poonch district.
Member of the HISI including Dalbir Singh (Retd Principal) and Vinay Sagar Sharma (Retd Bank Manager) were also present on the occasion and discussed various issues regarding school dropouts due to poor family backgrounds of children and expressed that the management of the HISI to do their best to support these children to pursue their studies despite all hardships in life.
Hira Lal Abrol shared the vision of the NGO and discussed its initiatives for the benefits of the people. He informed that the HISI is running a ‘free training centre’ for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families wherein nearly 3000 students have got the benefit of it after successful completion of courses from this centre.
