JAMMU, Dec 23: A collection of Urdu Poetry titled “Aab Rang” was released here today.
In this regard a function was organised by the Writer’s Forum, which was presided over by Prof. Quddus Javed Former Head Deptt. of Urdu University of Kashmir while Prof. Zaman Azurda was the chief guest.
Khalid Hussain renowned Punjabi and Urdu short story writer and Prof. MohdReyaz Ahmed Head Deptt. Of Urdu, University of Jammu grace the occasion as guests of honour.
R.K Chandan presented a brief review about the poetry collection “Aab Rang” of Ahmed Din Shanas. He described that Ahmed Din Shanas is a towering poet of J&K and said that his poetry have different dimensions and describes realities of life in his own style.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Shanawaz Cultural officer of Academy.
Among others who graced the event included Pritpal Singh Betab, Anil Sehgal, Seema Anil sehgal, Sarwar chouhan, Amin Banihali, Rashid Shabnam Awan, Khurshid Kazmi, Aslam Qureshi, Naseem Akhter, Tariq Abrar and Tuiab Raza Jeelani.
