JAMMU, May 22: Books titled ‘Nayay Kahan Hai’ in Hindi, and ‘Insaf Kithey Hai’, in Punjabi, authored by Bhupinder Singh Raina, a well known fiction writer & playwright of Jammu & Kashmir were released here today.
In this regard a function was organised by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu (PLS-J) in which Padam Shri Dr. Jatinder Udhampuri was the chief guest and Shailender Singh, prominent fiction writer and senior journalist Anil Sehgal were the guests of honour on this occasion whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary JKAACL, Jammu presided over the function.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn appreciated the fiction work contributed by Bhupinder Singh Raina in the field of Punjabi and Hindi literature.
He also appreciated the translation work of ‘Insaf Kithe Hai’ from Punjabi to Hindi by Harmeet Kour, who also edited the book.
In his address, Dr. Jatinder Udhampuri complimented Bhupinder Singh Raina being a Punjabi writer has come forward with force in the field of Hindi creative writing.
Shailender Singh and Anil Sehgal also expressed their views on the books released.
Earlier, Bhupinder Singh Raina and some of the writers expressed their views on the contribution and the released books.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Adv. Jasmeet Singh.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Monojit, former President, PLS-J.
