JAMMU, Jan 4: Belicharana police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 52 small bottles of illicit liquor from his possession, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Om Parkash Thakur, son of Baldev Thakur of Shorthand, at present Juggi Basti Belicharana.
He was carrying the illicit liquor to his native area Belicharana for selling among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under relevant section has been registered at Satwari Police Station and investigation started.
