KATHUA, Feb 6: Kathua police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 10 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Police said a team of Police Post (PP), Marheen laid a Naka and during the naka checking they apprehended a pedestrian namely Karnail Chand, S/o Ram Lal R/o Pattal, Tehsil Hiranagar.
On frisking, 10 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from his illegal possession. The bootlegger was arrested and recovered illicit liquor was also seized on the spot.
A case was filed at respective PS vide FIR No. 15/2021 U/S 48(a)of Excise Act and further investigation was taken up immediately.
