Srinagar, Aug 5: A bootlegger was arrested in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district and illicit liquor was recovered from his possession, police said today.
A police spokesman said that during searches at a checkpoint, police apprehended Muhammad Aslam Sheikh and recovered nine bottles of illicit liquor (Double Horse) from his possession.
The spokesman said that a case under FIR number 155/2015 under section 48 Excise Act was registered against him and probe has been initiated.
