UDHAMPUR, June 19: Udhampur Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 40 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
The accused was intercepted by a police party from Police Station Udhampur when he was travelling on foot near Bus Stand, Udhampur. During thorough search of the accused, 40 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. Police seized the liquor and arrested the accused, who was identified as Chan Singh of Jasal Kot Udhampur.
In this connection, a case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
