REASI, Sept 8: Police today arrested a bootlegger from Reasi town and recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a Police team headed by SHO Reasi, Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, intercepted one Mohd Shafi of Jadsarkote, Udhampur (at present Matyal Katra), at Bus Stand Reasi. During the frisking, the police team recovered 38 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered liquor pouches. A case in this connection, under section 48-A Excise Act, has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
