RAJOURI, Mar 31: Continuing drive against illicit liquor manufacturing, police today smashed another working still and arrested the bootlegger from Dhar Sakri village of Rajouri’s Kotranka tehsil.
While on routine patrolling in Dhar Sakri village, a Police team, headed by SHO Kandi, Habib Pathan and assisted by ASI Satish Kumar, apprehended the accused, who was found to be preparing illicit liquor. The accused was identified as Onkar Singh, son of Ghayan Singh of Dhar Sakri village.
Around 60 litres of Lahaan was recovered from his possession and destroyed on the spot, whereas 10 litres of illicit liquor and working still allied items were seized.
A case FIR number 20/2021, under section 48 (a), (b), (e) of the Excise Act has been registered in this connection at Kandi Police Station.
