RAMBAN, Aug 26: On the directions of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, Police here today intensified its drive against the sale of illicit liquor and arrested a bootlegger along with 74 bottles of illicit alcohol.
The arrested person has been identified as Ranjeet Singh, son of Jia Lal, a resident of Gandhri, Ramban.
Cops from Police Station Ramban arrested the bootlegger while on patrolling duty. The accused was illegally selling liquor and 74 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.
An FIR with no. 202/2024 was registered in this regard under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
