UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: Police today arrested a bootlegger along with 45 pouches of illicit liquor from bus stand area here.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Udhampur police station intercepted a person near bus stand on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Jagdish Singh, son of Chuni Lal of Jassarkot.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Udhampur police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Udhampur police station Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Gourav Mahajan and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary
