UDHAMPUR, Oct 17: Panchari Police today seized 60 pouches of illicit liquor from a bootlegger, who was arrested from Kanth Gali Panchari in district Udhampur.
A police party from Police Station Panchari intercepted the accused, who was walking on road side under suspicious circumstances. During thorough search of the person, Police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and seized the same. The accused was also arrested and his identity was established as Payaru, son of Jalu of Panjar.
In this connection, a case FIR number 35/17 under Section 48A Excise Act has been registered in Police Station Panchari.
