JAMMU, Mar 18: A bootlegger was arrested from Pargwal area here today along with 50 bottles of illicit liquor, police said.
They said special teams of Police Post Pargwal led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma, assisted by in-charge Police Post Pargwal, PSI Deep Kumar, rounded up one suspect during routine naka checking at Bhalwal Molu area.
“During search of the suspect, 50 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from one person identified as Sikandar Lal of Balwal Bharth, who has been arrested,” police said.
Police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the law and taken up further investigation.
