JAMMU, Feb 11: Manwal police today arrested a bootlegger along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from Manwal police post arrested a bootlegger identified as Rajesh Singh, son of Angrez Singh of Panwali Sahanoo.
During checking, police recovered 85 pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession which he was carrying to make illegitimate profits by selling them among the general public of the area.
A case under FIR number 24/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
