JAMMU, Nov 8: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Arnia town claimed today they have arrested a bootlegger and seized from his possession 10 litres of illicit liquor besides destroying 600 litres of Laahan on the spot.
A police official said that acting on specific information, one Romesh Lal (50) of Shekhupur, Arnia, was arrested with the illicit liquor from his residence.
Additionally, 600 litres of Laahan was also destroyed on the spot, he said.
The accused has been accordingly booked under the relevant sections of the law and Excise Act registered at Police Station Arnia.
Further investigation into the case is underway, added the police official.
