JAMMU, Mar 31: Police today claimed to have arrested a bootlegger and recovered from his possession 50 bottles of illicit liquor and Rs 18000 in cash.
A police spokesperson said that special teams of Police Station Domana led by SDPO Sunil Singh assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal rounded up a suspect, Pawan Singh of Machine Domana, from Domana area during routine naka checking and recovered liquor and cash from his possession.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 117/2023 under section 48-A, and 48-F of the Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up.
“The accused has been arrested,” he further said.
