Bootlegger nabbed, liquor recovered

RAJOURI, May 25: The police foiled a liquor smuggling bid and arrested a bootlegger from Kandi area today.
Official sources said that a police team headed by SHO Kandi, Mustaj Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Hqrs, Govind Rattan laid a naka at Kandi Galla on Rajouri- Kotranka road when cops intercepted a person who was moving in suspicious circumstances.
On checking, he disclosed his name as Pritam Singh, son of Chatter Singh, resident of Bain Nambal, at present  Koteranka. He was carrying a bag with him.
On frisking,  15 bottles of illicit liquor (750ml) were recovered.
He was arrested on the spot and a case FIR No. 47/2019 under sections 48A Excise Act has been registered in Kandi Police Station against him.
