JAMMU, Jan 21: Trikuta Nagar police today arrested a bootlegger along with 54 pouches of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, police team from Trikuta Nagar police station during patrolling intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 54 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Mathan, son of Tofani, a resident of Bihar, at present Marathi Mohallah, Trikuta Nagar.
A case under FIR number 13/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Naveen Angral made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
