JAMMU, Apr 5: The first meeting of the newly constituted Governing Board of Jammu Kashmir State Board of School Education was conducted today under the convenership of Prof Veena Pandita, newly appointed. Chairperson JK BOSE.
In the meeting, various important decisions were taken with regard to the academic and administrative matters. After discussion on the agenda of items, the Governing Body accorded its nod.
Pertinent to mention that the Government recently appointed Prof Veena Pandita as a full fledged Chairperson of JK BOSE while the Governing Board was also constituted after a gap of five years.
Those who attended the meeting included G N Itoo, DSEK, Mehboob Hussain, Principal SIE, Srinagar, Charandeep Singh, Joint Director, School Education, Jammu, G N Waar, Kamal Gupta and some members from Universities of Kashmir and Jammu, Higher Education, School Education Department.
Among the BOSE officers, Dr Farooq Ahmad Peer. Director Academics who is also a member of the BoG, coordinated the meeting.
