BOSE employees on strike against posting of KAS officer as Secretary

JAMMU, Aug 30: Continuing the protest against posting of a KAS officer as Secretary of the J&K Board of School Education, a complete strike was observed today by the BOSE employees.
As resolved by the Joint Action Committee, all the BOSE employees of Jammu Division, including the employees of Sub/Branch offices, held protest demonstration at their respective places.
They were raising slogans against the transfer order of Secretary JKBOSE issued by the General Administrative Department (GAD), Civil Secretariat, Srinagar in gross violation of JKBOSE Act 1975. They alleged that wrong procedure was adopted by the GAD by undermining the autonomous status of the BOSE.
The protesting employees resolved to continue the protest till revocation of the controversial order of posting a KAS officer as Secretary BOSE. They also demanded that autonomous status of the JKBOSE be restored in letter and spirit.
