HARIDWAR, Nov 15: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha today addressed the ‘All India Vedic Conference-2024’ at Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The event was also graced by Mahamandleshwar Acharya Swami Vishveshvaranand Giri Ji Maharaj.
In his keynote address, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the need to create fine balance between material advancement and developing a compassionate society, kind and noble human being. He emphasized the role of scientists and spiritualists in achieving the said goal.
“Science & ‘Sanskar’, both are equally important for balanced growth of humanity. Vedas taught us about the science, math, medicine and science ensured new inventions, innovations and findings, serving the cause of humanity,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
He saidm, “Spiritual odyssey lit our path in the process of self-realization while scientific quest gave us new technologies, health, food, means of communication, travel, quality of life and it ensured welfare of humankind”.
“Vedas gave us the true meaning of life and continue to guide us towards a noble path. Timeless wisdom of Vedas is nurturing minds and hearts of young generation. I truly believe Vedic ethics and values will ensure we prosper materially and also follow the path of righteousness and dharma,” LG said.
The conference, which was the largest and being attended by most prominent gathering of expert ‘Vidwans’ from four Vedas, from more than 20 states of the country, was convened under the auspices of the Maharishi Sandipani Ved Vidya Pratisthan and Vedasthali Shodh Sansthan, Suratgiri Ashram.
Prominent guests who graced the occasion with their presence included Suresh Bhaiyaji Joshi (National executive member of RSS), Yog Rishi Swami Ramdev, Dr Krishna Gopal (Sah Sarkaryavah of RSS), Karshni Peethadishwar Swami Guru Sharnanand Ji Maharaj from Mathura, Mahamandleshwar Swami Nitnyanand Ji Maharaj from Haridwar, Prof Viroopaksha V Jaddipal (Secretary, Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain), Deepak Kumar Gairola (Secretary, Sanskrit Education, Uttarakhand Government), Acharya Balkrishna (Vice Chancellor, Patanjali University, Haridwar) and Dr Chinmay Pandya (VC, Dev Sanskriti University, Haridwar).
