RAMBAN, Jan 2: Five persons were hurt after a rolling boulder hit a moving passenger vehicle on an under-construction link road here today.
Police claimed that due to the alleged negligence of an operator of LNT machine working at the under construction Halla to Horun Dhar Lakhgali road, a big boulder rolled down and hit the vehicle of Trex make bearing registration number JK04C-4630 leaving five-passenger including the driver injured.
All the injured were rushed to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.
Police identified the injured persons as Krishan Lal, son of Jay Ram, resident of Hakas, Jhatgali; Rattan Singh, son of Sita Ram, resident of Halla; Aman Singh, son of Jernail Singh, resident of Jhatgali; Hariom Singh, son of Balkrishan and driver of the vehicle Hari Kumar, son of Balkrishan, resident of Hakas.
The vehicle also suffered extensive damage in the accident and the unknown LNT machine operator fled away from the spot after the accident.
Police has registered a case in FIR number 04 of 2024 Under Section 287/336 IPC at Police Station Ramban started investigations.
