SAMBA, Aug 18: Samba police successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 15 bovines and arrested a bovine smugglers at NHW Naka Balole bridge, Bari Brahmana.
A police party of PS Bari Brahmana, SDPO Sunil Kesar, while performing vehicle checking duty at NHW Balole Nakka, intercepted a truck bearing registration No. PB35Q-8083, which was moving towards Jammu.
During checking of the vehicle, 15 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission. The accused persons identified as driver, Narinder Singh, S/o Palla Singh of Gurdaspur, Punjab has been arrested.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 182/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
