JAMMU, Apr 11: A bovine smuggler was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Nagrota area here today.
A police official said that Mohammad Shakoor of Muralian, Miran Sahib was booked under PSA for his repeated engagement in bovine smuggling related activities, hurting the sentiments of a particular community.
Several FIRs were already registered against the accused but he was not mending his ways, he said.
Accordingly, an arrest warrant against the smuggler was issued by the competent authority which got executed today with the arrest of the accused by PSI Sandeep Kumar of Police Station Nagrota, he said.
