Bovine smuggling bid foiled

UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: Police today rescued six bovine animals and arrested two smugglers under the jurisdiction of Rehamble Police Station.
The accused, identified as Nazir Ahmad of Smailpur Samba and Mohd Younis of Ragura Jammu, were arrested when they were illegally transporting bovine animals to Kashmir in two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration number JK21-7483 and JK02AQ-8947.
Police rescued the animals and also seized both the vehicles.
A case under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Rehamble Police Station.
