Bovine smuggling bid foiled

UDHAMPUR, Apr 9: Continuing its drive against smuggling of bovine animals, Udhampur police today arrested two smugglers and rescued the animals.
Reports said that acting on specific information, Rehmbal Police laid a naka and rescued two bovine animals, which were being smuggled to Kashmir in a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK02AK-9459.
Both the smugglers, identified as Shamas Din and Alaf Din of Chambalbass Ramban, were arrested and a case has been registered against them at Rehambal Police Station.
