Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 3 held

KATHUA, Nov 27: Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued 15 bovine animals, which were being illegally taken towards Punjab in a truck.
Police spokesman said that during naka at Rajbagh, police intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02S-2325 and seized 15 bovine animals from the vehicle. The bovine animals were being illegally smuggled to Punjab.
Driver of the vehicle Ali Hussain, son of Akbar Ali of Rangoora Bye-pass Jammu and his associates namely Mohd Aslam, son of Rehmat Ali of Majeen Morha Dangali, Kala Khan, son of Manzoor Ahmed of Ragoora Bye pass and Mohd Tojab, son of Jamat Ali of Ragoora Bye pass Jammu were arrested whereas one  person namely Feroz Din, son of Sheru of Haria Chack managed to escape from the spot.
