Bovine smuggling bid foiled

REASI, Sept 13: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four animals besides arresting the accused persons, who are brothers.
Reports said that a police party of PS Arnas and naka Kanthan intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK20A-7623 and rescued four bovine animal from smugglers namely Bashir Shah (driver) and Shah Jahan, sons of Sakhi Mohd of Kansi Patta, Reasi.
The smugglers were carrying these bovine animals towards Kashmir via Mahore without permission. Both the accused persons have been arrested and the vehicle, which was used for transportation of bovine animals, was also seized.
In this regard, case FIR number 78/19 U/S 188/RPC has been registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation taken up.
