Bovine smuggling bid foiled

UDHAMPUR, July 8: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling when a truck carrying bovine animals was intercepted at Flata, under the jurisdiction of Rehambal Police Station.
Today during naka laid by police party of PS Rehambal under the control of Insp Virender Gupta SHO PS Rehambal at NHW Flata, police party intercepted the truck, bearing registration number JK02BT – 6357 and carrying 16 bovine animals, was intercepted during a naka checking by police party, led by SHO Rehambal, Inspr Virender Gupta. Police rescued the animals and arrested the truck driver as well as his associate.
The arrested accuseds were identified as Zaqoob Hussain son of Mohd Aslam of Baqyal, Haweli Poonch and Mohd Arif son of Ab Gani of Talwara, Reasi . A case FIR number 96/2020 U/188 IPC 11 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at PS Rehambal.
