UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: Udhampur Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid under the jurisdiction of Police Post Roundomail and rescued 07 bovines, which were being transported to Kashmir valley.
Police party of Police Post Roundomail, headed by SHO Udhampur Insp Raghubir Singh and assisted by PSI Rahul Jamwal, IC PP Roundomail, intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14H-1991 for checking purpose.
On physical checking, police team found 07 bovines loaded in the said vehicle without any valid permission.
Thereafter all the 07 bovines were rescued and driver was arrested on the spot. In this connection, case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
