Bovine smuggling bid foiled, accused arrested

REASI, Nov 20: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued four animals besides arresting two accused.
A specific information was received at SPP Bassan that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with bovine animals without any legal permission and had reached near Karamkatha near Mahore. On this, a Police team from SPP Bassan rushed to the spot under the supervision of SHO Arnas, Inspector Sanjeev Sharma and SHO Arnas Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz, and rescued four bovine animals from the possession of accused person namely Reyaz Ahmed and Saraj Din, both residents of village Karamkatha Mahore.
Both the accused persons were arrested and a case in this connection has been registered at Police Station Arnas.
