RAJOURI, June 25: Police today foiled attempts of bovine smuggling at Thanamandi area and rescued 20 animals besides arresting two smugglers.
Reports said that during naka checking, a Team of PS Thana Mandi intercepted one Truck JK02AT- 0665 and one Junga JK11F- 5872 which were found loaded with 11 and 9 bovine animals, respectively. Both the vehicles were on way towards Buffliaz without any valid permission from DM for transportation of bovine animals. Police rescued all the animals and arrested drivers of both the vehicles.
In this regard, case FIR number 89/2022 and 90/2022, under section 188 IPC, 11 PCA were registered. The arrested accused were identified as Mohd Mahroof, son of Musa of Kassi Pata Reasi and Bilal Ahmed son of Ibrahim , resident of Badakana Thana Mandi.
The arrests were made by team of PS Thanamandi, led by SHO, Insp Mohd Shoket, under the supervision of SDPO Thanamandi, Dr Imtiyaz Ahmad.
