Bovines smuggling attempts foiled, 19 cattle rescued

RAJOURI, June 24: The police rescued 19 cattle from the clutches of smugglers while foiling bovines smuggling bids in Rajouri and Nowshera areas today.
Police said that a team of Rajouri police headed by I/C Police Post, Chatyar Chingus, PSI Sahil Chowdhary under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Fareed Ahmed during naka intercepted a Tata 207 load carrier, loaded with nine animals without any valid permission.
The vehicle was on its way towards Bufliaz (Mughal Road). Taking action in the matter, a case FIR No. 338/2022, U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been stands registered. The vehicle bearing registration number JK11B 9438 has been seized.
In another instance, during Naka checking, a police team from Nowshehra intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing Reg. No. JK 11B- 4726 which was found transporting 10 bovine animals without any valid permission. All the animals have been rescued. In this regard case FIR No 142 /2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PC Act stands registered at PS Nowshera.
