JAMMU, Feb 12: Akhnoor police foiled bovines smuggling bid and rescued 6 milch animals.
As per police sources, police team from Akhnoor police station laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle without registration number for checking.
Instead of stopping, the driver speed up the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police team chased the vehicle and managed to stop the vehicle near Tanda, but the driver managed to escape from the spot, taking benefit of the darkness
During checking, police rescued 6 bovine animals.
A case under relevant Section has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
The bovine smuggling bid was foiled by SHO Akhnoor police station Kuldeep Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
