KATHUA, Aug 29: Rajbagh Police rescued a bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on routine checking, a team from Police Station Rajbagh led by Inspector Bhopinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sachit Mahajan and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK12A-6454.
During checking, police team rescued 20 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Mohammad Yaqoob, son of Jamaldin of Saral, District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 166/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and investigation started.
