Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Jan 31: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bid and arrested one cattle smuggler.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a truck.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Mohammad Irfan, son of Idrees Ahmed of Rammatra District Ramban.
To dodge the police, the arrested person has loaded bovines beneath vegetables, but his attempt was foiled by the alert cops of Nagrota Police.
A case under FIR Number 39/2022 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation taken up.
